Does dogs really hate cats? Most of us probably grew up in a world where we knew that dogs always chase the cats or it’s the other way around. For the question do they really hate each other? The best answer is probably no and yes. So yeah it depends.
Some owners have kitten and a puppy. Both of them grew up in the same environment, playing with each other, sleeping and doing things all the time. They become the best of friends. They don’t see each other as different kind. Therefore, they become very attach to each other to the point that some are inseparable.
There are also some instances that an owner probably owns a cat or a dog first then eventually decided to adopt the opposite type, either a dog or a cat. In this manner, they grew up separately. Most of the time they would compete for the affection and time of the owner and try to establish their own territories.
Lastly, some cats or dogs are just playful to the extent that they tend to hurt or annoy the other one. It’s fun to watch them play. Keeps each other busy and happy. As long as they don’t totally hurt each other, let them enjoy. To answer if they hate each other, truly the situation depends. Just like human beings, dogs and cats also have their own characteristic. Some are friendly and some are feisty! Some can get along with other quickly while the others are really having a hard time coping with different kind.
