Why do dogs lick you?

Dogs show their love to their fur parents in a special way. This is through licking which is equivalent to kisses. Dogs lick you to show their affection. This is an instinct that rooted from their parents when they are still puppies or just naturally embedded on their genes.

Dogs are very showy type of animals. If they are mad, they bark at you. Oppositely, if they love you, they would shower you with thousands of licks. For some, this might gross them out. But dog’s way of kisses is extremely lovable.

Now, you might ask, to what extent should you allow them to kiss you? Its up to you really. Some people have sensitive skin types and may cause allergy after exposure to dog’s saliva. If you have open wound, you should not let your dog lick it.

Dog’s kisses may be warm and wet, but I wouldn’t trade that experience with anything. It makes anyone smile and it really is the sweetest moments for the owner. It just simply means that the bond formed between the two of you was being acknowledge by your dog. You give love and they return it ten folds.
